The Company
Founded in 2020 by Hee-Jean Kim and James Serritella, the firm was built on a shared mission: to deliver high-quality, ethical legal representation without the bureaucracy and inefficiencies of traditional law firms. Both veterans of top New York City legal institutions, Hee-Jean and James met in law school and bonded over a deep respect for the legal profession and a commitment to serving clients with honesty and excellence. Kim & Serritella prides itself on smart, strategic advocacy delivered with humility and transparency.
The firm offers fair billing practices and custom fee structures designed around client needs, not law firm profits. Every case is handled with tireless dedication, fierce advocacy, and a results-driven mindset. The firm is also committed to social impact. Through the K&S Pro Bono Practice Center, the team provides free legal services to individuals and communities in need, guided by an experienced Pro Bono Counsel. At Kim & Serritella LLP, clients receive more than just legal support—they gain trusted partners who lead with integrity, clarity, and compassion.
