The Position

Are you passionate about insurance and eager to enhance your skills within a dynamic business environment? We have an excellent opportunity for you. This role involves supporting the tracking of assigned information to aid the business in making informed decisions on risk transfer versus retention. As a Risk Analyst I, you will report to the Director of Insurance & Risk, encompassing a broad range of responsibilities, including routine tasks and administrative duties.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, understanding the financial implications

  • Foundational knowledge of risk management processes or commercial insurance placement, including contract review, insurance compliance, insurance recovery, claims management, or similar experience in asset protection

  • Proficient in Excel, with medium to advanced skills to leverage data for informed decision-making

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to travel or work overtime with minimal notice

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No immediate direct reports

Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Experience working in a corporate environment with prior law firm experience as an administrative assistant is a must

  • Familiarity and ease with technology; ability to utilize computer skills, including word processing, data entry, email correspondence, etc., with ease and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying levels of urgency and deadlines

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and a general can-do attitude

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to operate as a team player

  • Motivated and curious mentality

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and stressful situations with poise

Preferred Experience

  • Professional certifications in relevant fields

  • Familiarity with accounting, safety, and insurance principles

  • Experience with ERP

Work Environment

  • On-site, Full time position located in Sierra Nevada

Compensation

  • Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $25 - $33, with additional benefits 

Requirements

  • Because this client is a Federal Government Contractor performing services for the DoD, US Air Force, NASA and others, they do require US, Non-Dual Citizenship
