Position Summary

The Global Solutions Ambassador Practice Management Software as part of the Enterprise Solutions Team plays a crucial role in further developing the practice management software offering globally. This is a role that leverages significant experience in the space of DSOs and Enterprise accounts and cuts across product management, Marketing and Sales. Starting from a solid understanding of the operational processes within dental practices, he/she identifies future avenues of development in the area of practice management software and related offerings and works on their realization with product management. In addition, this position supports other functions like marketing and the sales team in developing messaging that aligns with customer needs and in validating these messages with core markets. While the initial focus of the role is on the US market, these activities are going to be enlarged as a second phase in other regions of the world. The role presents an opportunity for seasoned operators from the industry to participate in the processes of discovery, prioritization, feedback and communication during the continuous improvement and evolution of the solutions by leveraging their personal and professional qualities.  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop use cases in the areas of practice management software and business analytics that provide value to Straumann customers in the DSO and Enterprise Account segment
  • Work together with product management to translate use cases into concrete requirements that guide development and support the validation of these concepts in initial markets like US and, potentially furthermore, in international markets (feature prioritization, feedback collection, release management)
  • Pre-Sales assistance for larger customer accounts (demos, workflow analysis, proposals)
  • Actively support customer success by representing and collecting voice of the customer, assisting the management of existing accounts and evangelizing the software solution
  • Support IT project management in bid management for tender projects, proof of concept and validation on customer side and in coordinating relevant project partners on customer and Straumann Group as well as software partner side to ensure proper implementation of projects
  • Participate in global external marketing and sales activities such as the establishment of reference projects, customer visits and artifact and collateral creation

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No immediate direct reports

Skills & Qualifications

  • Should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in multiple roles in the Dental industry
  • Should have led the operations team at a large group practice (15+ locations) for at least 8 years, ideally PE-owned
  • Has setup / owned the centralization of practice operations and processes for economies of scale across scheduling, reporting and revenue cycle management
  • Strong understanding of standardization of clinical processes across offices for outcomes
  • Hands on experience in setting up reporting and analytics systems to optimize operations across locations for production, collection, schedule utilization, patient retention, patient growth., tx acceptance etc.
  • Strong knowledge of front office systems and operations (scheduling, patient onboarding, eligibility mgmt. etc.) and back-office operations (e.g., claims and A/R management, Payment posting, Statements processing and patient collections follow-up from a distributed / centralized billing system)
  • Strong understanding of the evolving needs of a growing large group in today’s world – around practice financing, operational reporting and revenue cycle management
  • Strong quality awareness, commitment in achieving daily actions

  • Strong capabilities in English (speaking and writing), further languages a plus

Work Environment

  • Willingness to travel internationally and throughout the US
  • Travel expectation between 30% – 50%

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s highly preferred
  • Multi-location, Large DSO Dental Operations experience
