The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director, Digital Health (Cell Therapy) to lead the identification, development, and commercialization of digital health solutions that enhance patient outcomes within the Cell Therapy and CAR-T portfolio. This high-impact role serves as the primary point of contact for digital health initiatives, partnering with clinical, technical, and business stakeholders to bring regulated digital solutions—such as software as a medical device (SaMD) and remote patient monitoring tools—from concept to market. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of digital health or health tech experience, strong program management and Agile expertise, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional, global teams through complex, matrixed organizations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify, conceptualize, evaluate, and prioritize digital health products and services for Cell Therapy

• Serve as single point of contact, driving projects from inception through delivery

• Partner with clinical, translational research, and market access teams to embed digital solutions (SaMD, remote patient monitoring) into trial design and care delivery

• Drive development of regulated digital health solutions and real-world data platforms

• Collaborate with academic institutions, technology vendors, and strategic alliances

• Build business cases through ROI, feasibility, and prioritization analysis; run proof-of-concept studies

• Maintain deep expertise in digital health technology, regulation, and competitive landscape

• Apply lean start-up and Agile methodologies to speed decision-making

• Lead cross-functional collaboration across drug development, data science, cybersecurity, and data privacy

• Partner with Legal/Contracting to structure digital health collaborations

• Communicate with senior leaders and stakeholders to align program plans and governance

• Drive commercialization and scaling of digital health solutions

• Support KPI development, analytics strategy, and post-launch support systems

• Support regulatory strategy and Health Authority (e.g., FDA) engagements

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, health tech, healthcare, pharma marketing, or related field (advanced degree preferred)

• 10+ years of experience in digital health, health tech, or related field

• Proven track record launching digital health solutions, SaMD, medical technologies, or AI algorithms in healthcare

• Experience managing third-party relationships and complex partnerships

• Demonstrated ability leading cross-functional, global teams

• Experience navigating complex organizations and governance processes

• Strong project/program management skills, including Agile and sprint methodologies

• Track record leading through influence without direct authority across global matrices

Preferred Skills

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline

• Experience leading digital health programs within a health technology, medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical organization

• Experience with Software as a Medical Device, remote patient monitoring, digital biomarkers, healthcare AI, or real-world data platforms

• Knowledge of FDA requirements and regulatory pathways for digital health products

• Cell Therapy, CAR-T, oncology, or hematology experience

• Experience integrating digital products into clinical trials, drug development programs, or patient-care pathways

• Experience commercializing and scaling regulated digital health solutions

Work Environment

• Full-time position based in Princeton or Madison, New Jersey

• The role is expected to operate under a site-based hybrid model requiring regular onsite presence, generally at least 50% of working time

​

Compensation

• Position offers a salary of $189,890 - $230,102, with additional benefits
