The Position

Our Client is seeking a driven, consultative, and results-oriented Equipment Sales Specialist (DSX) to manage and grow sales across a newly configured five-state territory 
encompassing Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. This field-based sales role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with dental dealers, private practices, Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), community health centers, dental schools, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).

 

The successful candidate will promote a comprehensive portfolio of industry-leading dental equipment solutions, including operatory equipment, utility systems, handpieces, and nitrous oxide delivery systems. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to drive sales growth, increase market share, and expand business opportunities across the assigned region

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, account development, and consultative selling

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dental dealers, key accounts, DSOs, GPOs, and clinical decision-makers

  • Present, demonstrate, and consult on dental equipment and technology solutions to support customer needs and business objectives

  • Conduct product evaluations, equipment consultations, and customer presentations to drive engagement and sales success

  • Develop proposals, negotiate pricing, and close sales opportunities while consistently achieving revenue objectives

  • Manage the sales pipeline, forecast territory performance, and maintain accurate CRM reporting and sales activity tracking

  • Collaborate with dealer representatives and distribution partners to identify opportunities, execute joint sales initiatives, and drive revenue growth

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, ensuring successful implementation, customer satisfaction, and long-term account retention

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and provide strategic insights to leadership

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, customer events, training programs, and professional conferences while serving as a trusted product expert

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No immediate direct reports

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional 
    experience

  • Proven success in outside sales, territory management, or business development

  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling dental equipment, dental technology, medical devices, 
    healthcare capital equipment, or related products

  • Experience working with dental dealers, DSOs, or healthcare organizations

  • Familiarity with complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders

 

Work Environment

  • On-site Position located in one of the following states: Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming

  • Preferred home base in Arizona or Colorado

  • Approximately 50–60% travel throughout the assigned territory

  • Overnight travel required

  • Attendance at customer meetings, dealer visits, trade shows, and industry events

Compensation

  • Position offers a Base Salary of $70,000 annually

  • Total Target Earnings: $140,000 – $225,000+

  • Uncapped Commission Structure

  • Additional earning potential above plan
