The Position
The IT Support Technician I provides hands-on technical support for computers, software, and network equipment across the organization. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktops, laptops, and related hardware, as well as configuring and supporting essential software tools. The technician will assess employee technology needs, resolve support requests, and recommend hardware or software solutions that improve efficiency and security. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the physical ability to perform routine technical tasks in a fast-paced IT environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair desktop and laptop computers

Provide hardware, software, and personal computer support for employees

Support, configure, and maintain network equipment

Install and update required software programs and tools

Assess employee information, network, and communication needs

Recommend hardware and software solutions based on organizational requirements

Maintain documentation of support activities and system configurations

Supervisory Responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications

Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing abilities

Associate’s degree in a related field or IT certifications (Microsoft, A+, HDI, Dell, etc.)

Higher education may substitute for experience; relevant experience may substitute for education

Strong technical troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks

Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users
-
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring visual, auditory, and manual dexterity

Compensation

Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $22 - $26, with additional benefits ​
