Principal Technical Systems Administrator
Full-time Contract Position – East Coast/CT

The Position
The Technical Systems Administrator supports the deployment, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure and engineering systems that support product development and business operations. This role is responsible for managing hardware, software, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments while ensuring system reliability, documentation, and compliance with organizational policies. Working closely with application, development, and engineering teams, the administrator helps implement technical roadmaps, maintain development tools, and support digital transformation initiatives that enable innovation and efficient product lifecycle processes.
Duties & Responsibilities

Provision, install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, and infrastructure across internal networks and internet-based environments

Administer and support Product Development tools and engineering applications within the PLM ecosystem

Maintain documentation for network server configurations, software installations, and application licensing agreements

Monitor and manage backup systems and procedures for Product Development software environments

Serve as escalation point for after-hours and on-call support for Product Development tools

Manage incident, repair, maintenance, and change requests through the IT service management ticketing system

Collaborate with Application and Development teams to implement the technical roadmap for engineering and product development tools

Build and maintain prototype and test environments for demonstrations, validation, and system testing

Conduct technical research and development to support innovation and continuous infrastructure improvement

Develop and maintain process documentation supporting PLM and product development workflows

Ensure infrastructure and systems adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and customer requirements

Skills & Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (or equivalent experience)

Experience deploying and administering 3DEXPERIENCE on-premise in cloud-hosted environments

Strong systems administration experience with enterprise hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure

Experience implementing tools and processes for CAD-driven Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments

Ability to manage system documentation, licensing compliance, and configuration management
-
Experience supporting engineering or product development software environments

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident management skills
-
Ability to work within IT service management workflows and ticketing systems

Experience collaborating cross-functionally with application, development, and engineering teams
Preferred Experience

Experience with ServiceNow or JIRA Help Desk ticketing systems

Experience implementing engineering tool administration best practices

Knowledge of application development technologies including iOS, Microsoft technologies, Linux, JavaScript, AngularJS, and WebRTC

Experience driving digital transformation initiatives and technical roadmap implementation

10+ years implementing tools and processes supporting CAD-driven PLM environments

Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment lifecycle programs
-
Ability to translate strategic technology vision into repeatable technical implementations

This is a 1-year contract position
Compensation
-
Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $80 - $90, with additional benefits
