The Position

Our Client is seeking an experienced Program Manager II to lead multiple complex cybersecurity initiatives within their Security division. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of program management—from initial engagement through contract award and sustainment—while ensuring integration across cost, schedule, and technical objectives. You’ll build and guide cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, mitigate risks, and drive successful program execution. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, along with a proven track record in managing multi-year projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple cybersecurity programs from initial engagement through contract award and sustainment

  • Develop and oversee integrated program plans, including cost, schedule, and technical performance

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve program goals

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks to ensure successful execution

  • Conduct regular meetings, status updates, and executive briefings

  • Support Security leadership in meeting enterprise objectives and compliance standards

  • Coordinate proposal development, negotiation, and transition to operations

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No immediate direct reports

​

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT/Systems, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management

  • 3+ years leading medium-scale projects spanning 1–2 years with cross-functional teams of 5+ members

  • Proven ability to manage full program lifecycles and deliver measurable results

  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring capabilities

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Expertise in stakeholder management and risk mitigation strategies

  • Strategic thinker with strong time management and problem-solving abilities

  • Financial acumen to ensure sound and responsible decision-making

Preferred Experience

  • PMP certification or advanced degree in Business, Management, or Engineering

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)

  • Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Agile, or spiral development methodologies

  • Experience managing programs involving application tools or data architecture implementation

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 standards and corporate compliance processes

  • Ability to improve and standardize project management tools, templates, and workflows

Work Environment

  • On-site position located in Sparks, Nevada

  • This is a 4-month contract 

​

Compensation

  • Position offers an hourly W2 Rate between $50 - $60, with additional benefits â€‹

​

Requirements

  • Because this client is a Federal Government Contractor performing services for the DoD, US Air Force, NASA and others, they do require US, Non-Dual Citizenship

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • PMP certification or advanced degree in Business, Management, or Engineering (preferred)
