The Company

ANCORE is a fast-growing, technology-driven fitness equipment company focused on bringing innovative, precision-engineered products to market. With a collaborative and highly engineering-focused culture, ANCORE designs products in-house while partnering with overseas manufacturers to produce sophisticated mechanical components and assemblies.

As the company continues to scale, quality and supplier performance have become critical areas of focus. This role will play a key part in helping build and strengthen ANCORE’s quality processes, vendor communication, and inspection capabilities both internally and across global manufacturing partners. #QualityYouCanCountOn

The Position

Our Client is seeking a hands-on, technically skilled Quality Assurance Technician to support and help evolve their growing quality function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing quality background who enjoys both detailed inspection work and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a dynamic, startup-style environment where they will spend a significant amount of time performing incoming inspections, cross-checking vendor reports, validating dimensional, assembly specifications, and collaborating directly with engineering and supply chain teams. Over time, this individual will also have the opportunity to help shape quality processes, improve workflows, and grow alongside the organization.

This is not a purely administrative quality role. We are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves, work directly with parts and assemblies, communicate confidently with vendors and internal teams, and contribute to building scalable quality systems for the future.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, machined components, injection molded parts, fasteners, bearings, springs, packaging materials, and mechanical assemblies

  • Conduct dimensional inspections and verification testing using engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T standards

  • Cross-check vendor inspection reports and validate physical samples against engineering requirements

  • Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances to vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Support supplier quality initiatives and help ensure consistent part quality from overseas manufacturing partners

  • Assist with developing and refining quality inspection processes, workflows, and documentation

  • Create and maintain quality control records, SOPs, inspection reports, and work instructions

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes

  • Participate in assembly-line quality checks to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process

  • Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Help contribute to the long-term growth and development of ANCORE’s quality systems and processes

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No immediate direct reports

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance, quality inspection, supplier quality, or a related production environment

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical prints, and GD&T specifications

  • Hands-on experience performing dimensional inspections and assembly verification

  • Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and indicators

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues clearly with vendors, engineers, and production teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general quality documentation/reporting

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment

  • Manufacturing floor environment with hands-on inspection responsibilities

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs

  • Collaborative, fast-paced, growth-oriented team environment

Preferred Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field

  • Experience working with overseas vendors or supplier quality processes

  • Experience within CNC machining, precision manufacturing, electromechanical assembly, robotics, aerospace, industrial equipment, or similar technical manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, SPC, root-cause analysis methodologies, or continuous improvement initiatives

  • Exposure to quality systems, process development, or manufacturing workflow improvement

  • Experience with ERP, QMS, or manufacturing data tracking systems

  • Exposure to AI-driven analytics or technology tools within manufacturing or quality environments is a plus
